VFL Official Rulebook

1. Overview
The Virtual Football League (VFL) is a simulated sports league powered by EA Sports College Football 26. The league consists of multiple divisions, led by the Premier Division. Each team is managed by an Owner, Renter, or Free Player.
2. League Structure
- Premier Division: 32 custom-created teams. Entry requires ownership or rental.
- Lower Divisions: Free to enter. Use standard in-game teams.
- Promotion/Relegation: Free Players can be invited to Premier Division based on seasonal performance.
3. Gameplay Settings
- Platform: Xbox & PlayStation
- Difficulty: Heisman
- Quarter Length: 5 minutes
- League advances every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 11:59pm
- Games broadcasted on Twitch & YouTube
4. Team Rules
- Each Premier team is a custom TeamBuilder creation
- Each team may create 1 senior (max 95 overall & 95 max per skill)
- All teams start at “cupcake” level to ensure fairness
5. Conduct & Integrity
- No cheating, quitting, tampering, or toxicity
- Owners can be removed by majority vote
- Sportsmanship and content contributions are expected
6. League Governance
- Owners vote on major changes (majority rules)
- Commissioner handles operations and disputes
7. Ownership Clarification
Owning or renting a team means controlling a created VFL team in a simulated environment. The EA game is just the simulation engine. No revenue comes from the game itself. League revenue comes from content, audience growth, and partnerships.
8. Season Format
- Each year includes 5 seasons
- Teams may update branding annually during game transitions
- Stats & rankings influence promotion, content opportunities, and rewards
